A Day of Lavender

our farm Come join a day of Lavender in the Texas Hill Country! Take a tour of 2 Blanco area Lavneder Farms with a mid-day stop at Juniper Hills Farm for a Lunch Class Demonstration of Cooking and Grilling with Lavender by the Pool.

Begin your tour by meeting here, at Wimberley Lavender Farm, where owner, Karen Provost will serve us a sumptuous breakfast including fresh yogurts, fruits and juices, home-made strawberry lavender jam and assorted breads and rolls. Learn to make lavender sachets and how to properly plant lavender - then select a lavender plant to take home!

The farm will be open for U-pick so we can cut our own bundle of fresh lavender. Then caravan just a short country drive to Juniper Hills Farm and have a Lunch Class Demonstration of Grilling and Cooking with Lavender in the Poolside Pavillion. Blackberry Lavender Champagne Cocktails, Bruschetta with Local Goat Cheeses and Lavender (Infused Figs and Onions with Griilled Juniper Provence Chicken and Potatoes with Summer Salad.

Next travel over the Blanco River to Heron's Next Herb Farm in Blanco and learn how Essential Oils are made using a still. With this oil we will make Lavender Sromatherapy and package it in a roll-on dispenwser. Make frangrance misters to take home! Melanie will serve us a wonderfull home-made dessert in one of their shady gardenst or on the screened-in porch.
